Ranthan Kharak Trek
The Ranthang Kharak Trek is a hidden gem in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, India. Ideal for trekkers seeking solitude, this lesser-known trail offers breathtaking views of majestic Himalayan peaks like Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot, and Panchachuli. The trail passes through dense oak and rhododendron forests, pristine alpine meadows, and remote high-altitude pastures.
Starting from Munsiyari, a charming hill town, the trek leads you through scenic campsites such as Lal Dan, Birinag, and Ranthang Kharak – a high ridge that provides panoramic mountain vistas. The trek offers an immersive experience into the region’s natural beauty, flora, fauna, and rich cultural backdrop.
