Itinerary

Arrive at Uttarkashi (nearest major town) by road. Check into your hotel or guesthouse. Spend the day acclimatizing and exploring Uttarkashi’s local markets and temples like Vishwanath Temple. Prepare for the trek ahead by checking gear and permits.

Drive from Uttarkashi to Gangotri (approx. 4-5 hours). Visit the Gangotri Temple and take in the spiritual ambiance. Begin the trek into Gangotri National Park toward Bhojwasa or nearby base camp (short trek to start acclimatization). Overnight stay in tents or guesthouses.

Continue trekking deeper into the park through dense forests and alpine meadows. Enjoy views of snow-capped peaks and possibly spot wildlife like Himalayan birds and deer. Reach a designated campsite such as Chirbasa or Gaumukh (depending on trek difficulty and pace). Overnight camping amidst nature.

Trek back to Gangotri village. Visit the Bhagirathi Glacier viewpoint (Gaumukh) if time permits. Drive back to Uttarkashi for departure or overnight stay.
