Badrinath Yatra
The Ek Dham Yatra to Badrinath by road is a popular pilgrimage that takes devotees to one of the holiest temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu, located in the Garhwal Himalayas. Starting from Haridwar or Rishikesh, pilgrims enjoy a scenic drive through sacred towns and river confluences before reaching Badrinath, nestled between majestic mountain peaks. The temple, established by Adi Shankaracharya, offers spiritual blessings and a chance to experience local culture. The journey is comfortable with road access, suitable for all ages, and is best done from May to October. Along the way, pilgrims can visit nearby attractions like Mana Village and the Tapt Kund hot springs, making it a fulfilling spiritual and cultural experience.
Start early morning from Haridwar or Rishikesh by road. Enjoy the scenic drive through Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, and Nandaprayag — the sacred Panch Prayags of the Alaknanda River. Reach Joshimath or Pipalkoti by evening. Check-in at the hotel, rest, and have dinner.
After breakfast, drive to Badrinath (about 3–4 hours). Check in at your hotel or guesthouse. Visit the famous Badrinath Temple for darshan and attend the evening aarti. Explore nearby spots like Tapt Kund (hot springs). Overnight stay in Badrinath.
