The **Chirbatiya Weekend Trek** is a short yet stunning Himalayan trail located in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. Ideal for beginners and nature lovers, this easy-to-moderate trek takes you through thick pine and oak forests, charming Garhwali villages, and expansive alpine meadows. The highlight of the trek is the breathtaking **Patangniya Top**, which offers panoramic views of the snow-covered Himalayan peaks like **Nanda Devi**, **Trishul**, **Chaukhamba**, and **Kedarnath**. Over a span of just 2 to 3 days, trekkers experience a rich blend of natural beauty and local culture. The trail is also a paradise for bird watchers and photographers, especially in spring when rhododendrons bloom in vibrant colors. With a well-marked path, comfortable campsites, and serene surroundings, Chirbatiya is perfect for a rejuvenating mountain weekend away from the city hustle.
Arrive at Chirbatiya village (approx. 6–7 hours drive from Dehradun or Rishikesh). Check-in, rest, and acclimatize to the altitude. Explore the nearby forest trails and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Evening briefing session followed by dinner and overnight stay in tents or homestay.
Early morning breakfast and start the trek towards Patangniya Top. Trek through lush oak and rhododendron forests, small meadows, and local hamlets. Reach the top in 3–4 hours and enjoy panoramic Himalayan views of Kedarnath, Chaukhamba, and Trishul peaks. After lunch and rest, descend to the designated campsite in the nearby meadow. Bonfire (if permitted), dinner, and overnight stay in tents.
Wake up early for sunrise views and breakfast. Trek down to Khalwa village through a scenic descending trail (2–3 hours). From Khalwa, drive back to Chirbatiya and then proceed to your next destination (Dehradun/Rishikesh or elsewhere). Trek ends with great memories and a refreshing escape into nature.
