Tucked away in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, Agoda Village is a quaint and peaceful settlement that serves as the first stop on the Dodital Lake trek. Surrounded by thick forests of oak, deodar, and rhododendron, this traditional Garhwali village offers travelers a chance to experience raw Himalayan beauty and authentic mountain hospitality.

Accessible only by a short trek of about 5–6 kilometers from Sangam Chatti, Agoda welcomes you with panoramic views, terraced fields, wooden homes, and a serene vibe that is far removed from the rush of modern life.

Pick-up and drop from Uttarkashi to Sangam Chatti (by shared/private vehicle)
2 nights in local homestay or eco-lodge at Agoda Village (on twin/triple sharing basis)

Arrive in Uttarkashi (can be reached from Rishikesh or Dehradun by road) Drive to Sangam Chatti (about 15 km from Uttarkashi) Begin short 5–6 km uphill trek to Agoda Village Enjoy scenic trails through pine and rhododendron forests Reach Agoda Village by afternoon, check-in at a local homestay or eco-camp Explore village life, interact with locals, and relax in peaceful surroundings Dinner and overnight stay in Agoda Village

Wake up to stunning Himalayan views and fresh mountain air Enjoy traditional breakfast with locals Explore nearby trails or hike a few kilometers toward Bebra (another stop on the Dodital trail) Option to take nature walks, bird watching, or relax in the village Bonfire (optional) and storytelling in the evening Overnight stay at Agoda
